Aventura is a compact city in northeast Miami-Dade with condo towers along the Intracoastal Waterway, many built from the 1970s on, plus some single-family homes and townhomes.
The Don Soffer Exercise Trail circles the Turnberry golf course and is busy with walkers every morning. Aventura Mall is the city's landmark, and the Brightline station connects to Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Miami.
