Living in Miami Beach

A barrier island with Art Deco streets

Miami Beach runs along a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic, from South Beach's Art Deco district to the quieter streets of Mid-Beach and North Beach.

The Miami Beach Boardwalk runs along much of the oceanfront, popular for morning walks and runs. Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive draw visitors, while bayside streets and the Venetian Islands have single-family homes, many on the water.

Good to know: For condos, review the association's budget, reserves, special assessments and any required building inspection reports or structural integrity reserve study. For any home, check the property's flood designation, elevation and insurance options early in your search.

What this page covers: Numbers and listings cover homes with a Miami Beach address in the MLS.
